White Lodge, YO11 3BJ

Set in the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough, White Lodge is a warm and welcoming house with stunning sea views and excellent walking routes to the beach and nearby cliffs.

The house was built in 1926 and recently renovated in 2018. Our accommodation ranges from studios to spacious one bedroom flats; we have a total of 11 private living quarters all of which are en-suite and have their own kitchenette. Our rooms are unfurnished ready for you to bring your own furniture and personal items, allowing you to create your own home from home.

White Lodge has a beautiful large garden where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine and some fresh seaside air. We also have a summer house which offers shelter, ideal for reading a book in the shade or enjoying some peace and quiet.

If you enjoy a sea view you will fall in love with our charming conservatory, which is perfect to take in the sights and look out to sea. We have created a cosy sitting area here that is popular with our residents for socialising, enjoying time to themselves or for quality time with family and friends.

Our house is located in the quieter part of town and is on the local bus route as well as the local community transport, Dial-A-Ride, that residents regularly use to visit Scarborough’s lively seafront and take a stroll around the shops. There is plenty for you to do and a range of activities and entertainment for all ages. We highly recommend trying some traditional fish & chips!

We are fortunate to be close to the beach, which is a few minutes walk from the house with an easily accessible slope taking you right down to the sand. It is a great advantage to living here, having such a nice place to visit right on our doorstep.

We have a games night on a Wednesday evening which our residents really enjoy. Staff arrange outings and activities on a regular basis which friends and family are welcome to join inon. Sometimes we go out for afternoon tea or organise a seaside trip for fish and chips. Each year we have a Christmas party where everyone is invited to come and join the festivities.
